The ball is supposed to stay outside the boundary. Send it there. ~ Sehwag
Veeru, The dashing batsman from Delhi has made it a habit of appearing in news almost everyday. He is in such incredible form that he hits every bowler mercilessly with a smile on his face. Bowlers and opposition captains do agree they are totally clueless how they can contain the ferocious hitter. He just hits everything that comes to his bat which abates the self confidence of bowlers and gives them sleepless nights.
India's recent tour in New Zealand saw the best in him where he tormented almost every NZ bowler at will. Vettori even once mentioned that any score less than 500 will be a easy target for Indians considering the form they are in, especially Veeru. He achieved the fete of registering the fastest century by an Indian, fastest century by any batsman in NZ and many more. He managed to reach the magic figure in just 60 balls. He already has 11 150+ knocks, 2 triple tons under his kitty. His astounding form has captivated the attention of Critics to such an extent that some have even started mentioning him as the greatest batsman in the world at present time.
It’s a delight to watch Sehwag in action. Its even more interesting to listen how he talks in a press conference. His charisma, confidence and straight-talk has amused almost everyone. If somebody who does not follow cricket, listens to him might consider him a glib talker having no credibility. But taking into consideration his track record, innumerable milestones he has achieved, praise and appreciation lauded on him, he seems to be a "Man Of Words". He means each and every word what he says.
I have included a few instances from his press conference which demonstrate his aggresiveness. Frankly speaking, Only Virender Sehwag can say that he felt sorry for the bowlers, without sounding arrogant when he says it.
Question: Do you find the Kiwi bowlers challenging ?
Sehwag: Yeah, It must be challenging for them. Its very tough for them to stop me. (referring to his batting)
Question: Did you even feel that the bowlers were down and out ?
Sehwag: Yes. On many occasions. I have also seen the Aussies, South Africans and English feel that way too. (When I am in such form)
Question: Do you feel sorry for the Captain or bowlers when you bat like that?
Sehwag: Oh Yeah. (Without bothering to explain)
We were always made to believe modesty is the virtue of a good human being. But listening to Sehwag brings a few doubts in mind whether one should respond in such way even when one is at apex of his career. I think it will be easier to explain his attitude if we consider the fact that he is aggressive and direct by nature. So it gets reflected in his batting and speech. He knows his job well and completes it in his own way. As long as he disposes his duty well, We should let him continue in his own fashion without bothering him with criticizm.
Whatever it is, this is not the point of discussion right here. It is pretty clear that Sehwag has given a new dimension to Cricket which is aggressive and relentless whether its the shorter version (One - Dayer / 20-20) or longer version (Test Cricket) of the game. And the most important point of all: Aggressive cricket is a treat to the viewer's eye, hence a money spinner.
Veeru,Continue tormenting the bowlers as you do and make us proud. We, Indians have high expectation out of you. Wish you all the best.

Thing is that...his strenght is is weakness...and so everybody is confused..same shot gets him out for ducks..and same shot goes out of fences...amazing i have seen very few pple whose strenght are their weakness...wud b a good management lesson..how they manage?
Correct !! Sometimes I too feel Veeru is very lucky. However his greatest strength is that he understands his duty and puts undivided attention to it. He plays his natural game and rest is history. :)
Difficult to Explain.

But always being a cynic I would like to point out two things-
A - I think its Viru(from Virender)
B - Do you actually watch cricket? ;-) coz you are always in ur room
